Automated test control,
unique product traceability.
Implemented at Haier Europe's Eskişehir cooking appliances factory; serial numbers are associated with RFID to automate safety tests independently of operators, pushing data to the global MES system.
Digital transformation on oven assembly lines
A traceability system was applied to the new oven assembly lines at the cooking appliances factory of Haier Europe, a global leader in home appliances, located in Eskişehir.
Within the scope of the project, the assembly line automation software was also developed by Siskon, connecting all test stations into a central traceability structure.
Secure test verification and registration needs
Electrical and leak safety tests of each oven produced on the new assembly lines had to be verified independently of operator intervention.
- 01Operator DependenceHuman error and data inconsistency risks arising from manual execution of safety tests.
- 02Lack of AssociationInability to automatically associate electrical, gas leak, and flame control test results with unique product serial numbers.
- 03Line Control GapsLack of an automatic locking mechanism to prevent untested or failed products from advancing along the assembly line.
RFID-Based Station & Automated Test Control
The product barcode is matched with the RFID tag at the line start. Electrical, gas leak, and flame control tests are carried out in automated operator-independent stations, matching results with serial numbers and pushing them to MES.
RFID Association
At the line start, the serial number from the product barcode is matched with the carrier's RFID tag.
Automated Tests
Ovens are automatically tested at electrical, gas leak, and flame control test stations, independent of operator intervention.
Data Matching
Real-time test results collected from stations are automatically associated with the product's unique serial number.
MES Confirmation
Successfully completed test confirmations are instantly pushed to Haier Europe's Global MES system.
9-axis servo and robotic data integration
Assembly line automation software
Control software managing the entire assembly line workflow and machine stations.
9-axis servo & robotic system
Robotic equipment performing precise positioning and mechanical tasks at the stations.
RFID traceability infrastructure
RFID system matching serial numbers at the line start and tracking station transits.
Automated test units
Test equipment conducting electrical, gas leak, and flame control tests without human intervention.
Industrial networks
High-speed field data exchange over EtherCAT, TCP/IP, and Profinet protocols.
OnSuite Trace & MES integration
Data layer where the OnSuite Trace platform runs fully integrated with Haier Global MES.
Haier Global MES Integration
The developed traceability system runs instantly integrated with Haier Europe's Global MES (Manufacturing Execution System); all test data and confirmations are pushed to MES.
Electrical, gas leak, and flame control test results are written to the MES system based on the product serial number.
Transition of failed or incomplete products to the next station is blocked based on the MES confirmation state.
Zero-error safety and real-time production tracking
Unique product traceability
End-to-end digital traceability based on serial numbers was provided for each product starting from the line entry.
Operator-independent quality
Electrical, gas leak, and flame control tests are automated, reducing human error rates to zero.
MES data integrity
All quality and test records on the production line are instantly sent to the MES system for centralized reporting.
